Common Issues and Solutions
Problem: "Student not found"
- Check you've typed the IT number correctly (numbers only, no spaces)
- Verify the student name spelling
- Try searching by the other method (IT number vs. name)
- This student's account is protected (coursework/exam/test account)
- Contact IT Services if you need to reset this password
- Check the spelling of your class code
- Try removing the subject code suffix (e.g., try 10ATT instead of 10ATT-Tt)
- Contact IT Services if the class doesn't appear in the system
- Make sure you unblocked before students logged in
- Ask students to log out and back in
- Wait 1-2 minutes for the changes to propagate
- Verify you selected the correct class code
- Check the application is on the Applications drive
- Try closing and reopening
- Contact IT Services if the problem persists
Access Control
- Only authorized staff can use this application
- Site Unblocker tab is only visible to staff with special permissions
- All actions are logged for security and audit purposes
- Only view student information when necessary for your role
- Do not share student passwords with anyone except the student
- Login history is for legitimate educational and safeguarding purposes only
- Close the application when not in use
Quick Tips:
- Press Enter after typing to search (instead of clicking the Search button)
- Keep a note of common class codes for quick access
- Unblock sites at the start of lessons for best results
- Double-click students in selection dialogs to choose quickly
- Use partial name searches (e.g., "Jake" finds all Jakes)
